Church conflict is of utmost concern to God.  Disputants have cut themselves off from their very Source of peace, and their hurtful conflict behaviors reveal that their hearts are in direct opposition to what God desires for Christian relationships.  Scripture exhorts the church to pursue peace--to make every effort in this regard--and to preserve its unity through peace.          

In recent years, the predominant ministry for conflict education and training in the church has been Peacemaker Ministries (www.peacemaker.net).  Although EPIC classes are not associated with this ministry per se, neither are they at cross purposes.  The material simply offers an additional approach to dealing with conflict in the Body of Christ, a different path to support equipping the saints for this important pursuit in the church. 

The principles of conflict transformation, derived from transformative mediation, form the framework of the course, (Learn More..) and are particularly useful for the relational constellation within the Body of Christ.  They can remind participants of the good news of the gospel of Christ, and enable believers to enact His power and provision within them to resolve conflicts peaceably.   

Extensive study and theological research have been executed to insure that the information is in line with the Word of God, and that it wholly supports biblical directives for conflict resolution in the church.  Scripture provides the foundational premises.  Transformative principles and practices are utilized to amplify the biblical instruction, and to enable believers to be responsive to God’s desires for peaceful relationships in His church.       

This biblical track is also available for transformative mediators who wish to practice transformative mediation in the church and are interested in seeing how the approach can interface with biblical values and objectives in mediation.
